José Placido is Chief Executive Officer of RBC Dexia Investor Services.

RBC Dexia Investor Services ranks among the world’s top 10 global custodians and provides specialised investment administration solutions for institutional investors. With USD 2.4 trillion in assets under administration, RBC Dexia Investor Services has offices in 16 countries around the world and a global custody network covering 90 markets.

José began his career in institutional investor services when he joined Royal Trust Corporation of Canada in 1988. The company was later acquired by RBC where he held several leadership positions. From 1996 to 1999, José was managing director of RBC Global Services’ London, UK office, becoming Senior Vice President in 2001 and later Executive Vice President in 2003.

José is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal.

As Global Head, Sales & Distribution, Antony (Tony) Johnson is responsible for directing sales, relationship and strategic client management efforts across the globe. In addition, the country heads of 10 locations report into Tony with a focus on local market development.

Prior to this role, Tony was Global Head, Sales & Relationship Management with RBC Global Services, Institutional & Investor Services. Before re-joining RBC in 2003, Tony was Executive Vice President, Europe with BISYS Fund Services where he led their fund administration outsourcing businesses in the European region. He joined BISYS from RBC Global Services where he spent five years as Head of Sales and RM, Europe/Middle East.

Tony previously worked with Citibank as Vice President, Sales, responsible for promoting securities services in the UK & Nordic markets.

As Chief Information Officer, Eric is responsible for leading strategy, development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of our information technology infrastructure.

Before taking on this role, Eric Mansuy was Head of IT Services with Dexia Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL). He has held progressively senior positions within Dexia BIL where he has spent much of his career.

Eric holds a Master’s degree in IT management, and a DESS in Business Administration. He also completed the Program for Executive Development with IMD in Lausanne.

As Global Head, Operations, Joanna is responsible for managing the day-to-day global operations of RBC Dexia Investor Services, ensuring its integrated global operating model is developed, managed and implemented in a manner that is consistent, efficient, high quality and cost-effective.

Prior to this appointment, Joanna was Managing Director for the UK, Ireland and Middle East for RBC Dexia. Her background before joining RBC Dexia was within Investment Banking Operations and IT and included senior roles at Deutsche Bank and Salomon Brothers (now Citigroup). She also headed operations at Credit Suisse Asset Management across Europe for four years. Joanna has worked in London, Tokyo, New York and Tampa.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Economics.

As Global Head, Market Products, Susan Pike has global accountability for establishing strategy, product management, product development and service delivery for our market-based products which include securities lending, investment finance, foreign exchange and cash management.

Before taking on this role, Susan was Global Head, Securities Lending, for RBC Dexia. Her background includes close to two decades of experience in investor services, with senior roles in securities lending, foreign exchange and transition management services.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University.

As Chief Financial Officer for RBC Dexia Investor Services, Kevin Powers is responsible for all accounting, financial and management reporting, corporate tax and treasury functions on a global basis.

Prior to this appointment, Kevin was Head of Global Development for RBC Global Services, Institutional & Investor Services. Kevin has also held positions within RBC Financial Group, including Senior Manager, US Balance Sheet Management; Senior Management, Mergers & Acquisitions; and Senior Manager, Financial Strategy.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance/International Business) as well as a Master of Science degree in Administration (Finance), both from Concordia University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

As Chief Risk Officer, Frank Van Hoornweder is responsible for RBC Dexia’s risk management strategy and framework.

Frank has deep expertise in risk management and joined RBC Dexia Investor Services from Adinfo SA in Belgium, where he was CEO and General Manager. Prior to joining Adinfo SA in 2005, he held a number of progressively challenging management positions with Dexia Bank, where he led teams in both IT and financial markets management.

Frank holds a Civil Engineer Industrial Management degree from the University of Louvain and a Civil Electrotechnical Engineer degree from the University of Gent.

As Global Head, Strategy and Corporate Services, Michael Wilson is responsible for strategic plan development and implementation, as well as non-organic growth and corporate development. In his role, Michael also oversees RBC Dexia Investor Services’ corporate functions including Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, Legal & Compliance, and the Corporate Secretary.

Prior to his appointment to RBC Dexia’s Executive Committee, Michael was Global Head, Strategy & Corporate Development. He has held senior positions within the financial services industry including Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives with RBC and Senior Vice President & Head, Strategic Services with RBC Insurance. His background also includes senior roles with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Laws from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Master of Arts, also from Queen’s University.

As Global Head, Product & Client Segments, Rob Wright is responsible for the overall strategic direction of our client segments, including funds, pensions and financial institutions and the core products and services that support them. Rob also has responsibility for client service globally, and oversight of our two key operating centres in Luxembourg and Canada.

Prior to this appointment, Rob held the position of Chief Operating Officer for RBC Dexia Investor Services, responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organisation’s global operations and client service strategy.

Rob previously held several leadership positions with RBC Global Services, Institutional & Investor Services. These included Managing Director, Global Fund Services, where he was responsible for the development of the business strategy for the global fund management business segment; and Vice President, Sales and Relationship Management, responsible for business development and strategic account management.
